ARTICLE 1. IN GENERAL - Code of the City of Iola, Kansas

4-101. Penalty for violation of this chapter.

Any person who shall fail to comply with the provisions of any article in this chapter shall, upon conviction, be adjudged guilty of a misdemeanor.

4-102. Liability.

This chapter shall not be construed to relieve or lessen the responsibility of any corporation, co- partnership, association, individual or agent thereof, performing any work regulated by this chapter, for damages to any one injured thereby, nor shall the city be held as assuming any liability by reason of the inspections authorized in this chapter, or certificate or permit pursuant to the provisions of this chapter.

4-103. Qualifications for inspectors and enforcement officials.

Qualifications for inspectors and enforcement officials shall be those contained in the most current city job description for a specific position of employment. This section will take precedence over any similar sections in any of the adopted codes.
